HOW TO KNOW IF YOUR BABY HAS HEARING PROBLEMS

Does your baby not respond to you or loud sound? Here are some warning signs to identify if your baby has hearing problems.

SINGS: 0-3 MONTHS OLD

- Does not respond to loud sounds

- Does not wake up to sounds or voices when sleeping

- It does not become calm or quiet to familiar or calming sounds.

SINGS: 4 - 8 MONTHS OLD

- Does not look towards you when you make a sound

- Does not react to toys making sounds

- Does not try to copy sounds

- Does not respond to change in your voice such as anger, happiness, etc

- Pays attention and responds to noises that can be felt but not heard (vibrating noises)

SIGNS: 9 - 12 MONTHS OLD

- Does not respond to their own name

- Does not respond to soft noises or sounds

- Does not say words like 'bye', 'mama' or 'papa'

- Does not understand commands words such as 'come here' or 'say bye'
