HOW TO DEAL WITH STRESS AFTER A DISASTER?

If you're pregnant or already have a baby, taking care of yourself and your family can be stressful during a disaster. Being prepared can help you handle things better.

WHAT IS A DISASTER?

- An occasion that brings unusual disturbance into your life

- It may be a flood, earthquake or storm/cyclone or a car accident, a fire in the building or a terrorist attack

HOW CAN YOU RELIEVE STRESS THAT COMES WITH A DISASTER?

- Rest as much as you can, try to eat regular, healthy meals

- Share your worries with a friend, family member, or doctor

- Try to talk to someone for at least a few minutes daily

- Listen to some good music to relax while working

- If you've recently had a baby, try to prevent any signs of the postpartum depression (feeling of sadness after delivery)

- If you're worried that you may hurt yourself or baby contact your doctor
