Use Of Articles "A" , "AN"

Article A का use singular (एकवचन), countable nouns (गणनीय संज्ञाएँ) जो consonant sounds से शुरू होती है, उनके पहले किया जाता है। 

जैसे -

# He is a doctor. (वह डॉक्टर है।)

# She doesn't own a car. (उसके पास कार नहीं है।)

# I saw a lion at the zoo. (मैंने चिड़ियाघर में एक शेर देखा।)

Article AN का use singular (एकवचन), countable nouns (गणनीय संज्ञाएँ) जो vowel sounds ((a, e, i, o u) से शुरू होती है, उनके पहले किया जाता है। 

जैसे -

# He is an actor. (वह एक अभिनेता है।)

# She didn't get an invitation. (उसे निमंत्रण नहीं मिला।)

# I saw an eagle at the zoo. (मैंने चिड़ियाघर में एक चील को देखा।)

अगर वाक्य में noun से पहले adjective या adverb-adjective combination है तो A/ AN का use adjective या adverb-adjective combination के first sound के according होगा। 

जैसे -

# He is an excellent doctor. (वह एक उत्कृष्ट चिकित्सक हैं।)

# I saw a really beautiful owl at the zoo. (मैंने चिड़ियाघर में एक बहुत सुंदर उल्लू देखा।)

याद रखें कि A(AN) का मतलब "one" या "a single" (एक) होता है, हम इनका use plural nouns के साथ नहीं कर सकते। 

जैसे 

# I saw a lions. (WRONG)

# I saw lions. (CORRECT)
