SELF-CARE TIPS FOR WORKING MOTHERS

Are you a tired and stressed busy mom? Then, here are some tips to assist you with unwinding and deal with yourself even while working.

TAKING OUT TIME

  • If you think that you'll get time after your kid grows a little older, at that point, it is never going to occur. You will have to manage your work right now to make time for yourself.

  • Start scheduling your day accordingly to the amount of work, take some breaks while working, and put on your headphones to avoid any disturbances.

30 MINUTES RULE

  • Create a to-do list for yourself which has 30 mins to listen to your kids, 30 mins to connect with your partner, 30 mins to prepare for the next day, and 30 mins of quiet time for yourself. This way you can do self-care without feeling guilty.

MIND BEFORE BODY

  • 3-5 mins of daily meditation in the morning can make a huge difference. This not only improves your mood at work but also your interactions with your colleagues and family.

FEEDING THE BODY

  • For a healthy body, you may need happy food as well. So replace the junk food in your fridge with quick, easy, and healthy meals.

  • Buy fresh fruits and vegetables as they are rich in antioxidants which are really good for your body, mind, and glowing skin.

WORKOUT WITH KIDS

  • Exercise is something that most working moms have been neglecting all their life. If exercising seems like the toughest job to you, try to involve your kids in your workout sessions.

  • You can also use fun activities like racing and playing badminton with kids as a replacement for your workouts.

SIMPLIFYING YOUR BEAUTY ROUTINE

  • Looking good also makes you feel good and confident at work. Working moms often find it hard and useless to care for their skin and hair

  • If you think that long hairs are unmanageable then find a haircut or a long-lasting style that needs less maintenance

  • Do apply sunscreen as a priority while going out even when you don't have time to put your eyeliner

USING THE EARLY MORNINGS

  • For maintaining a successful self-care routine you must start early in the morning.

  • Waking up at 5 am will give you lots of time just for yourself.

  • Do a 3 minutes meditation and 2 minutes of face massage and feel the freshness.

  • Join your workout friends who neither know you as a colleague and nor as a mom. Discuss anything with them other than parenting and working.
