CHILD TALK A SUCCESSFUL METHOD TO SPEAK WITH YOUR INFANT
Did you know your day by day talk with your child is significant for his/her brain and language improvement? Along these lines, the more you talk, the better it is for your child.
WHAT IS BABY TALK?
- A childish way of speaking to babies and toddlers
- You usually use a playful, exaggerated, and high pitched tone with stress on vowels. E.g; "Goooodddd Morrrnniiinggg, Howww areee youuuuuuuuu?, You are sooooo cutttteeeee!"
- Babies pay more attention to baby talk than the normal adult talk

- Promotes early brain development, helps to form strong language skill
- Improves your child's brain activity which helps in early language development
TIPS
- Ensure that there are no distractions when you are talking to your baby
- Talk to your child often, even when you are bathing them or changing their diaper
- Make some alone time with your baby and have the baby talk as it more effective when it is done alone with your baby
- When you are having the baby talk, make sure you look at your child in the eye. This way your baby will respond better to what you are saying
- Do the normal adult talk too once in a while so that they know how words actually sound like
- If your baby is trying to say something don't interrupt them or look away as your baby needs to know that you are listening to them
- If your baby is pointing at something but is not able to say anything, help them find the words. E.g; If they point at a dog, say, "That is a dog".
- If your child looks tired or restless of your talk, don't force them to listen to you.
- Don't let your baby watch TV for too long as it can stop your baby's language growth
